We are a charity dedicated to making a real difference to our local hospital by raising funds to help buy:

Medical equipment to help with diagnosis, treatment and care such as ultrasound machines, cots, portable scanners
Comforts for patients e.g. leg rests, television sets, blinds for wards
Amenities for the hospital's staff e.g. fridges, lockers

We also provide a service by running a Tea Bar & Shop in the Hospital plus a trolley that goes around the Wards. We are run & staffed entirely by volunteers.

We welcome and rely on donations no matter how small by bank transfer, online, cheque, bequests and other methods.

Tea Bar & Shop

Have you tried our Tea Bar & Shop? It’s open every weekday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Find us at the St. Peter’s Road side of the Hospital, above Outpatients and next to Walmer A. We offer at great prices:

Freshly brewed hot drinks
Sandwiches
Snacks & confectionery
Chilled cold drinks
Books, newspapers, cards & stamps

Volunteer

Whatever their role, our volunteers enjoy what they do – most have been with us for many years.

Would you like to join our committee of Trustees? You would be contributing to overseeing the work of our registered charity including helping to organise fundraising events and considering applications for funding.
We are looking for more volunteers who can spare a few hours each week to work in our Tea Bar & Shop and/or on our trolley that goes around the Hospital. You would be joining a team that provides a much-valued service to the patients, staff & visitors, is an integral part of the Hospital community and earns valuable income for our charity.
